Thing #1: In a Victorian era house with exposed radiator pipes (that feed the upstairs radiators), it is The Done Thing to wallpaper the pipes so they match the walls and thus blend in.
Thing #2: When choosing to remove wallpaper from a Victorian era house with exposed radiator pipes--the pipes are a bitch to strip.
