So, Charles and Camilla were going to (finally!) be married this Friday. Despite all the handwringing about whether the future head of the Church of England could be divorced and remarried, and the dubious legal status of Charles as a widower to a deceased ex-wife, it was going to happen.
And then the Pope died, and his funeral is on Friday.
I guess when the mother of the groom is also a pope, being head of the Anglican Church, professional courtesy requires the wedding be moved to Saturday.
Even though the Queen wasn't even going to come.
